Pakistan has dozens of incubators, accelerators, grants and cloud perks. Some lists online are years old, so their terms may have changed. This guide sorts programs by what they give (money, mentoring, credits, space) and by your stage. Check each official page and keep your own “last checked” date.
Four things programmes offer: money, mentoring, credits, space
Most startup programs in Pakistan give you one or two of these four things. Know which one you need before you apply.
- Money: Ignite’s SPARK and ELEVATE grants go up to PKR 200 million per project in FY2026-27. They are for research and innovation projects, not startup incubation, which the NICs handle. The Pakistan Venture Fund is a plan, not an open program. See Ignite’s own site for current calls.
- Mentoring: The eight National Incubation Centers (NICs) run in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Hyderabad. NIC Karachi describes its support as structured incubation, mentorship, capacity building and access to industry networks. A Sialkot center was announced in 2026.
- Credits: AWS Activate and the Google for Startups Cloud Program give cloud credits. Both are run by those providers, and neither is our partner. Amounts differ between sources and change, so read the provider pages.
- Space: The NICs are physical centers in eight cities. NIC Karachi sits at NED University and is described as a free, equity-free incubator with a 12-month program. That detail comes from a September 2026 feature, so confirm it with the center, and ask what workspace each center offers.
Equity is a separate question from these four. Some accelerators take none, such as PlanX (per one list) and The Nest I/O (per Tracxn). Others, such as 10xC, offer pre-seed and seed funding in exchange for equity. Check the terms before you apply.
One more thing on credits: many incubators and accelerators act as AWS Activate providers, so joining one can open the Portfolio tier.
We are independent and privately run. We are not affiliated with or run by Ignite, the government or the NICs.
Match a programme to your stage
Idea stage
An incubator fits best. Start with your nearest NIC, whether that is Quetta, Karachi, Lahore or another city.
Centers describe their support as mentorship and access to industry networks, so expect to meet mentors and other founders there. Selection can have several stages, so apply with a clear problem and a plan.
MVP and early traction
Accelerators expect a working MVP. NIC Karachi’s offer includes a three-month accelerator that wants an MVP and early traction. It lists milestone-based grants of up to PKR 5m per selected startup, per the same feature.
Getting ready to raise
A clear pitch deck matters here. NIC and Plan9 are reported to use several selection stages: screening, pitch competitions and panel interviews. A clear deck helps with that kind of process.
It does not promise an investor intro or any funding.
Check terms at the source, then list your startup first
Deadlines pass fast. The Ignite concept-stage grant call, for example, was reported open only until 26 October 2026. Open the official page, note the date, and keep your own “last checked” line.
Get your basics ready before you apply:
- A pitch deck
- A working MVP
- A simple website
- A company email
- Any traction you can show
Cloud programs often ask for a working company website. AWS Activate typically asks for a company under 10 years old.
List your startup first. A free listing gives you a credible, shareable page that helps customers, mentors and investors find you, though we can’t guarantee any result. 40+ startups are already listed, and verified members get extra perks.
List Your Startup For Free and get found while you work through applications.
Sort by what it gives, then match your stage
Sort programmes by what they give, match them to your stage, check the source and note the date.
Your next step is simple. List Your Startup For Free, then browse the Explore page to see who else is building in Pakistan.
